Comtech

Today, we got our 'rough' mark. This mark is very important because it tells us where we stand right now. Then we can decide what should we do next. However, because comtech don't have any final exam, this mark eventually gives more pressures to do rest of the assignments which will due next friday.. so sad lah.. TT

Comtech

Another assignment from comtech. I think this one is quite interesting because I like assignment that relates with business plan or something like that. We have to make a marketing strategy for a restaurant called "teh tarik boys". The restaurant time is interesting right?? ^^.. I think "teh tarik boys" used to be the name of CIMP movie making production. I saw that logo when I were watching CIMP movie in Ms. Woi class.
The problem is, I become frustrated and confuse about the design. 'cause I want to make an interesting menu and advertisement. A success in marketing strategy has to include all the strength and unique of the restaurant. Therefore people will also interest to come to the restaurant. Not only because of the fancy and eye catching menu and advertisement.

OB ISU

As I said, we will be using a lot of skills from comtech class for our OB ISU. This is the real example of it. We have to make an advertisement for our marketing strategy. However we make the simple and short advertisement for it... Our company is a unique logistic company who also helps to storage and delivery goods even though you only want to move in or move out to another apartment or house. I think this ads quite funny. I don't even know who is the delivery man in the video. hahaha.. Of course I have to persuade Mr. Tina and Septiana to become the main actor and actress in this video. ^^

OB ISU

Surprisingly, we also got ISU from OB. It is like a nightmare for me. When there only left 2 month, we still got a lot things to do, especially from IT and OB. However maybe it will be quite fun though. I think I will use a lot of skill I have learned from IT. Such as movie maker, publisher, and Microsoft power point. This is the real application of comtech class I have taken.. hahaha...
We have make our logo. Our company called Ipackex logistic company. Then my friend, Aloy, make the logo. Quite interesting, but it looks like a cartoon. However its okay lah.. other group also have "cartoon logo". On the right side is our Ipackex logo..

Marketing Video

Finally, we will submit our marketing video next monday. Hopefully we can finish it on time. I'm not sure we can make a good one. But at least we can try our best. Many assignment and ISU are waiting to be finished.. OMG...

Hurray.... Holiday...

It's so relaxing that finally we can get our holiday. However there are still a lot of assignment that become the 'ghost' in my mind. The most stressful assignment is the OB's ISU. We only got approximately 2 weeks for the phase 1. Hopefully I could finish it before the holiday end... No time for trying second life or game online whatsoever..

ComTech

Another project is given from Mr. A for our 'Raya gift".. ^^ Quiet surprising that he said about it in the last days of the week. This new assignment quiet interesting though. It's about the new phenomenon in game online, which is called the secondlife (not so new actually). In this game, people can decide what they want to be, what they look like, their job, and many others. Therefore this game is named secondlife, a game where people can create their own life. I decided maybe I can try that game sometimes. When I got spare time of course..

Moreover, there is also another development in game online. It calls ancient spaces. This game is developed by Harvard school. One of the purposes of this game is to help students to learn about the ancient time. I think it really helps students to study. They don't have to memorize it or try hard to understand it. They only need to online and play this game, then they indirectly will understand about it. It's like the reasearch said that we can learn 90% of what we have done.

CRAZY things..

CRAZY things happened in CIMP!! As we (CIMP students) already know, CIMP is the "rock'est" program ever. All the teachers and students are rock 'abizzz' ( it means super duper in English). Last Thursday we had charity even for one organization. In that event, three our teacher: Mr. Varga, Mr. Owen, Mr. Ley; were willing to support the charity by volunteering their hair and beard. ^^ cia you sir !!

Front Page

More information about front page, I think it's like we are drawing or sketching something but we are using computer technology for it. It is very easy to use and operate. However to make more complicated and fancy web sites, we have to work hard to make it like what we want. One of the problem is I still confuse how to make the appropriate button for navigation in the website. Now I'm using shape or just the words for it. The easiest way to arrange our website is using the ready themes and arrangement from the frontpage itself or macromedia dreamwever. Then the final task is only adding the informations and pictures that are needed.

Front Page

Having assignment about Microsoft Front Page is really helping me in doing my individual project. From Front Page I could understand some bacic knowledge about how to make a bacic web site. Then surely I will be more experienced in making web site. I found that making web site is not that hard. It only needs a lot of preparations on what will we make, how the web site will look like, and what is the content. We don't need many skills at first. But more and more we will directly learn it from our experiences..

Bored day in the end of the semester...

I think recently I started to feel bored with all the routine and assigment. Another new task in comtech class is another video assigment. This type we decided to make marketing video about teacher recruitment. At first, me and my partner (Aloy) were quite interesting about it. However now, we feel a bit exhausted about it. Hopefully we could finish this importang assignment. At this mean time, Mr. A our lecturer arer going to Indonesia (my hometown) to promote about the new international school (I think so..) Dont forget to bring us some 'oleh2" sir.. haha

Final remaking video..

Finally, We have demonstrated our clip. It's quite interesting to watch another peer's video. Each of us show different perspective of video and songs. However I still want to watch another class' video. There will be more interesting video outside there... The next project will be more interesting. We have to make marketing video or documentary..

Remaking music video..

Our new assignment is to remake a music video. With a group consists of three perons, we managed to make it. Tomorrow is the final day. Hopefully our clip is fine.
The hardest task to do is to take a video for the clip. We have to think about the story, the angle, the effects, and a lot of other things. However, it also gives us challenge to rate our ability about expressing words and lyrics from video.
We have decided to use Avril's song, Keep Holding On, all because this song is nice and have a deep meaning to us. Additionally, the clip is easy to make. Hopefully, we can do our best..

I'm free !!

Finally, I could finish the clip. It was very interesting to make it. By making a clip about my previous high school, I and also other friends could remeber our "happy" time. Using movie maker is not as hard as I imagined. It's quite easy to make it. You just need to import the photos to the movie maker, drag it to the story board, then add some video effects and video transtition. Don't forget to add some music background to make your video more interesting.
After observing some other video, I think each of us is having our own talent in making a clip. Every person is having different themes and different ways of expressing what is the important thing in their life. Making a clip is considered as one way we could remeber all our memories and precious things. Try it and enjoy it !!

Another new project..

Yehaaa!! Finally school has begun. Like the usual school day, Comtech gives another interesting project. This time we have to make a 3-minute video clip that uses windows movie maker. Using windows movie maker isn't really hard. We only have to follow and read the instruction that available in the right side of the screen. Although its very easy to use it, we could make a professional clip.
It is a requirement to make a valuable clip for us. Not just a usual clip buat a clip that has its meaning for us. Therefore we could memorize it and proud of it. I decided to make a clip about my previous high school, GLORIA. I thought it quite important to me to remember about that school. Hopefully I can collect all the photos from all of my friends. GAMBATTE !!

School holiday..

Now, I'm in the mood of doing homework and finishing some assignment. Hehe..^^ It's all because I'm having school holiday now. No homework, no assignment, no presentation, except for accounting. It's so bored to go to mall or watch movie all day. I miss my homework and assignment. Hehe.. However if I'm in the middle of the school day, I feel bored of the huge homework and assignment. It's so difficult to be a student in this world. >_< Can't wait for all the homework and assignment, especially ISU..

ComTech Newsletter..

Finally, we have finished our newletter. We needed a lot of efforts and strunggle to finish it on time. By the time we should have finished it, we had several problems. For example printing problem and margin problem, eventhough we had checked it several times. But thanked GOd we could finally finish it on time. However we didn't know the results of the newsletter. Hopefully it is okay lah..

ComTech Brochure 2..

More story about our brochure. We are stil working on it now. The bad news is, we have only make 4 pages from 16 pages.. TT My partner, Aloy, is still vey busy with all her other 3 subjects. Therefore she can not really concetrate with this assignmnet. So far, I have learnt more about publisher and other microsoft products. Especially when I have to make 14-points-star. Haha.. However I was very lazy to do it. So, I asked Aloy. At the end, the star really looked like a 14-points-star. Gud Job aloy !! The most harder part is to make all the pictures, background and story by our selves. But in the other hand, It can also develop our creativity and thinking. Cia you ^^!!

Comtech News letter..

We got a new interesting assigment. It is about making a newsletter.. Mr. A asked us to find our partners then worked on group. My partner, Aloy, and I have dicided our topic. It's about CIMP news letter. We are so excited to start our project already. We want to make a different newsletter. Not just a newsletter that tell about the up coming event but tell about everything CIMPians should know.. ^^ Hopefully the result will be just like what we hope. If u guys have any ideas about our new project, we are welcome to accept all ur comments.. Cia You !!

ComTech Brochure..

Making a brochure really gives us the opportunity to create something new and also learnt about something new. It can also help us to develop our creativity. The simplest program to make a brochure is microsoft publisher. Actually, this program isa also suitable for all type of design. For example web design, flyers, name card, and etc. I used to use publisher to make cover for project or assignment. But now, I like to use it for everything that is related in priting and designing. It is very easy to use and learnt. Additionally, it gives us a lot of easier way to create something and adjust it whatever we want to. For those who has not ever tried publisher before, I suggest u all try it and feel the difference..

Inquiry Process at TGJ4M..

Inquiry process is a very important process in school. BUt I think it is VERY VERY HARD and spEnd a lot of tiMe... We must able to use all of our ability to analyze and research something that we want to know or find. Actually, it will also help us to develop our thinking and focus our mind. According to Mr.A, there are 4 process of INQUIRY PROCESS. There are : 1). Understanding the question or topic; 2). Researching the question or topic that is given; 3). Analysing from the source about the qustion or topic; 4). (The last step) Making ur frame work "model" to make u easier to think. A lot of practices will help me so much to become used to it.. I'll try to use it when I'm facing another inquiry process. ;p This first task was very interesting. Because it made me think hard and from different perspective. I have to understand all the questions and do a lot of research and analysis..

PC fair at KLCC..

Yesterday was the first time I've ever gone to a PC fair. Quite nice actually, but it was really crowded. It made me could not enjoy the trip.. ;p We spent almost 3 hours on it. At first, I really didn't know what PC fair was. Actually it is a place that is selling things that have connection with communication and technology. Such as laptop, USB, camera, printer and more. Most of the person says that we can buy cheaper things in it. But i don't think so.. It's not really cheap actually, when we are comparing with the normal price. However some producers really gave big discount on certain products. There were also very interesting things except the electronical products themselves. Some booths were trying to attract customers by using attractive tool such as big posters or miniatur of the products and also using SPG that used attractive customs. I was very shocked when saw 10 -12 SPG used angel custom and several SPG used costum like in online game..

Useful technology

Com tech class really gives me a lot of new information. I think everyone deserve to try what is happening in this class. We are not only taught about the technology itself, but also how to think properly and organizely.. Unfortunately, there is a program on the web that can help us to organize all our ideas and thinking. It calls CMAP tools (concept mamping software). I think it will be very helpful for our thinking inquiry.. Hopefully, I can get a lot of experience from this class.. ^^

Actually, Wiki isn't really perfect..

There is a very refreshing accident in comtech class today.. Our wiki's content was deleted by one of the member: Arash.. It's very funny I think. Sometimes, a very hightech tools such as wiki can also give us trouble. Because of this accident, we must rewrite our names. That's why I think, hightech tools not always gives us a lot of advantages. It should always be refised and refised until it becomes perfect. And another problem occur.. There 's no such limit what 'perfect' really is. Human will try and try to make the most perfect tools. However, it won't be perfect..

bLogger_time

I often hear about blog before. However I never thought that I would make my own blog. Only because of the comtech class I'm taking, I have to make my own blog. I think it also helps me to become more 'up too date' with the development in communication technology. It's not logic if someone take IT class without knowing about the IT itself. My biggest problem is I'm not experience in all communication technology stuff. Therefore Mr. A, I hope you can understand this. Hahahhahaa... ^^ By the way, I'll try to make this blog to become 'up too date' as possible with all the comtech stuff.
